Dear Colleagues
The 1 May manifestations are done and dusted. In keeping with the motto “More to live”, thousands of people came together to protest in roughly 100 locations in Switzerland. The goals of our commitment are social security and social justice. The quality of working conditions is a crucial element when it comes to attaining that goal. This year’s 1 May activities were a great test run for the Women’s Strike on 14 June 2019!

A quick reminder: You are invited to our exciting General Meeting (GM) on 23 May 2019, 5 pm, in Zurich-Altstetten.
You have received an informative e-mail on 29 April as well as an invitation in the mail. Now it is time to send in your registration to Enable JavaScript to view protected content.. The final registration deadline is 13 May.
New members can download the invitation after having sent in their declaration of membership and register in time via e-mail.
Swissport Zurich: PEKO General Elections 2019
We have recruited candidates for a total of 9 electoral circles. Electoral circles 1 and 2 have been merged. In most electoral circles, the number of candidates matched the number of seats. Therefore, our SEV-GATA members Alexandros Fokas (electoral circle 6) and Oliver Passaglia (electoral circle 8) have been tacitly elected. Congratulations! Unfortunately, no SEV-GATA candidates have come forward for the upcoming elections in electoral circle 1/2. But taking a close look and voting is worth it anyway!
Swiss Pension Fund: By-elections in Foundation’s Management Council Until 2020
The voting procedure for the by-elections in the Foundation’s Management Council of the Swiss Pension Fund is in progress. Unfortunately, we do not have any SEV-GATA candidate and will therefore not make a recommendation. We hope to be able to recommend capable members of our union for the general elections coming up in 2020.
