The hot summer is finally ending. Over the past few weeks, airlines, aviation-related companies and their employees have experienced the volatility of this industry first-hand.
Review of the 2026 General Meeting – Outlook for the 2027 General Meeting
At the start of summer, we held an exciting SEV-GATA General Assembly. This time, we looked behind the scenes at Zurich Main Station and the work of our colleagues there. The fascinating insight into the underground workings of this complex facility proved highly popular with participants. Following the formal General Meeting, there were plenty of interesting discussions over drinks.
Another exciting General Meeting awaits us in 2027. On 11 June 2027, we will be visiting Rega. Further information will follow. Please save the date.
CLA Negotiations: Concluded with Swiss, Ongoing with SWP Zurich
Now that the Swiss CLA 2027 for ground staff has been formally concluded, it is important to carefully monitor its implementation, particularly the reduction in weekly working hours. Thank you for your valuable feedback.
Meanwhile, CLA negotiations have begun at Swissport ZRH. Even after the third round of negotiations, intensive negotiations will need to continue. The team led by SEV Union Secretary Regula Pauli is working hard to ensure that the new CLA provides fair wages, reliable working conditions and appropriate protection for employees.
Autumn Wage Negotiations: Preparations Underway
While the Swiss Trade Union Federation (SGB) has already publicly presented and substantiated its wage expectations for 2027, we are currently preparing our specific demands within our boards and committees. As in previous years, we will submit our demands on a company-specific basis. Depending on how negotiations progress, we may need to call on our members to take action to achieve a decent result. We will keep you informed!
