2026 – A Year of CLA Negotiations in the Aviation Sector!
Esteemed colleagues,
In 2026, new Collective Labour Agreements (CLAs) will be negotiated for both Swiss ground staff and employees at Swissport Zurich.
For the Swiss CLA 2027, the demands defined by means of our survey and in collaboration with members of the sounding board were already presented to Swiss at a kick-off meeting at the end of January. The actual negotiations will start in March. Unfortunately, this is not an ideal time, as the Lufthansa Group is currently rolling out an entire bundle of cost-saving measures across its companies.
Our demands are numerous, but every single one of them is well-founded and justified. The need to further develop the CLA can hardly be disputed. Swiss – and its “influencers” from Frankfurt – would be well advised to equip its negotiating team with sufficient room for manoeuvre. Expectations among employees are high. Swiss’ results remain excellent even after the brief Covid shock. Participation in this success has repeatedly been linked to the negotiations for the CLA 2027. Our members are determined to continue delivering outstanding performance under fair working conditions. In the upcoming months, it will be necessary to prove that a genuine solution rooted in a true partnership can be achieved at the negotiating table.
Members working at Swissport Zurich have recently received an invitation to take part in the CLA survey. This is an important opportunity to help shape our demands. Current and new members can still participate until 1 March 2026.
