Summer – Time for Clarification
Dear Colleagues
Summer is always peak travel season. Despite all the uncertainties in today’s world, the mid-year results for 2025 in the Swiss aviation industry are positive, even if not all companies achieved their record highs of the past two years.
Summer is also a great time to clear up some issues. After months of discussions, it would be reasonable to expect that open questions – for example regarding Swiss Technics’ night shifts – could finally be resolved. An evaluation of the survey among the affected members will soon be shared in a special Member Mail.
It seems we must repeatedly and firmly stand up against companies’ tactics aimed at coercing employees, restricting their participation rights, and discrediting union involvement.
SEV-GATA remains fair –at the negotiating table and everywhere else. Red lines are not only to be drawn by employers; the rights of employees and their representation by unions are also protected by red lines. SEV-GATA, together with you, also defines red lines for our own positions.
At Swissport Zurich and Swiss, wage and CLA negotiations are coming up soon. We are working at full speed on preparations to ensure our members can participate in determining our positions, concerns, and demands.
Together, we represent your interests!
