SEV-GATA Special Member Mail 2026_02_09
CLA 2027 for Swiss Ground Staff
Dear Colleagues,
The kick-off meeting for the CLA negotiations took place at the start of February. A few days prior, we presented our current catalogue of demands to the approximately 30 members of the sounding board. The demands are based on our members’ survey, combined with engaging discussions.
First off, we needed to discuss the negotiation rules with Swiss. Transparency is and remains important to us, and this is something we will actively practise. This has already led to several time-outs and a need for clarification.
In a second phase, we presented our respective demands and concerns. As Swiss explained that they were not yet able to present specific details regarding their concerns, we initially presented our demands by topic, but without “figures”. With the aim of ensuring that Swiss has a workable negotiation mandate in place by the first negotiation round at the end of March, we subsequently submitted our complete catalogue of demands.
The Swiss delegation was surprised by the scope of our catalogue, though the justification for the individual positions was met with understanding.
In exchange with the SEV-GATA sounding board, clear priorities must be established in March.
Thank you for your commitment for a strong collective labour agreement! … and if you recruit new members, our chances of success will be even greater!
