Shift Models Technics – Workshop Started!
LH-Success: Provocation!

Dear Colleagues,

Last Friday, the kickoff meeting for the renewed shift models took place with Swiss and some external consultants.

Swiss still wishes to explore completely new solutions. In collaboration with our members, we formulated a clear demand: A deviation from the current shift structure (mainly 5:5) is out of the question. The process is ongoing. Our meeting with SECO is scheduled for early April 2025. Swiss is striving to develop a new shift model because SECO refuses to extend the existing exemption beyond January 1, 2026.

We are on top of it!

The announcement of the 'success payout' for 2024 has caused irritation—for good reason. In Swiss’s second-best year and despite the excellent revenue generated by Swiss employees, Lufthansa have the audacity to pay out a meager CHF 600 per CLA-covered employee as a success bonus. This is unacceptable! LH cannot arbitrarily raise the goals for its successful subsidiary to such a high extent that—combined with the mixed performance of the parent company—Swiss employees receive such a small bonus due to excessive, unrealistic goals. This abuse through exploitative practices must be corrected immediately, and a retroactive payment for 2024 is essential. Our intervention is ongoing.
