Dear colleagues
Our wage demonstration on 16 September, 2023, left an impressive mark. Approximately 20,000 participants gathered at the Bundesplatz in Bern to communicate the urgent need for wage increases (information and impressions online at https://sev-online.ch/de/fokus/sozialpolitik/nationale-kundgebung-fuer-hoehere-loehne-und-renten/)
Autumn 2023 Wage Rounds
There are many reasons why an increase in wages is non-negotiable this year. Health insurance premiums, rental costs, energy prices, and overall inflation are crucial factors. Economic situations vary among companies. However, all of them are dealing with the issues mentioned above and the job marked has dried up. We are also planning negotiations with the companies covered by our CLA. Further information is to follow.
New Trusted Representative
Jeffrey Kast has been one of our trusted representatives for many years and has now decided to resign from his position. We would like to thank Jeffrey very much for his dedication to the benefit of our members!
With Sven Schäffle, who is a member of the SEV-GATA executive committee, we have found a new trusted representative. He works at Swiss and has been elected during the committee’s September meeting. Congratulations to Sven, we wish him a successful start in this new role.

New Members Wanted for Executive Committee
Following the passing of Thomas Blum and the retirements of Andreas Breker and Bert Charles Füller, we are looking for new dedicated members for our executive committee. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact me for an informal discussion.
SEV-GATA was founded in 2000 and has been a part of SEV, the Swiss Transport Workers’ Union, since 2004. By association, we are also a member of the European Transport Workers’ Federation (www.eft-europe.org) and International Transport Workers’ Federation (www.itfglobal.org). SEV-GATA has been serving its members in the aviation sector for almost 20 years.
