Executive Committee Member Thomas Blum Deceased
Dear Colleagues
Shocked, stunned and full of grief, we have to take note of an unthinkable event and inform you that our executive committee member Thomas Blum, 55 years old, is no longer with us. Last Saturday, September 2, 2023, he died of a heart attack.
As a union, we greatly appreciated Thomas, his strong commitment and solidarity. He was one of the main contributors to the successful integration of PUSH into our union, which was SEV-GATA's predecessor. The gaping whole he leaves behind is unimaginable, the loss of the long-standing friendship is painful.
We would like to offer our heartfelt condolences not only to his friends and colleagues, but first and foremost to his family. As a union, we are prepared and willing to support them to the best of our ability.
