SEV-GATA General Meeting on 20 June in Zurich
Dear Colleagues
This year's Labour Day is happening at a fairly loaded time:
- Various conflicts are escalating in war.
- Our industries have largely recovered from Covid.
- Now, prices are rising at a rate we haven't seen in decades.
- The job market has dried up and employers are desperately looking for employees.
- After having increased the retirement age for women, Parliament has also decided on an unacceptable pension fund reform.
Therefore, people are gathering for Labour Day demonstrations using the motto:
May 1 – Higher pay. Higher pensions. Equality now!
You can find the interactive map with all events on 1 May 2023 at https://mai2023.ch – the trade unions are going to be at the forefront of these events, of course!
SEV-GATA General Meeting on 20 June in Zurich
For this year's general meeting (GM), we have again chosen an exciting topic:
On 20 June 2023, 5.30 pm, the SEV-GATA general meeting will take place at Zurich airport. A representative of the airport will give a speech about the runway extension. After discussing our usual agenda items, we will enjoy an aperitif together, exchange ideas and discuss the current situation.
All members will soon receive an invitation by post.
