Dear colleagues
Since 1 March, 2022, Swiss has been trying to get back to "normal". Although the tragic situation in Ukraine threatens to cause further turbulence in aviation, we are generally happy about the "new normal". However, the question whether the implementation of a "Crisis CLA" is reasonably and legally acceptable remains unanswered. We are in the process of clarifying this question (see media release on 13 March 2022).
In Zurich, our union secretaries Regula Pauli and Sheila Belometti distributed SEV-GATA cookies to thank colleagues for their commitment to facing the challenges brought on by the pandemic.
Swissport Zurich: CLA Negotiations 2022/23
A negotiation plan has been agreed upon in a first meeting with the company. It is based on the needs expressed by affected colleagues in our survey. Regula Pauli will keep our members at Swissport Zurich informed on a regular basis during the negotiations, which will begin shortly.
Swissport Geneva / Vebego Geneva: CLA Signed
After lengthy negotiations, the CLA with Swissport Geneva came into effect on 1 March 2022. The one with Vebego Geneva is to follow on 1 April 2022. The colleagues concerned were informed in detail by our local trade union secretary, Pablo Guarino.
GM SEV-GATA 2022
On 17May 2022 at 5.30 pm, the SEV-GATA General Assembly (GM) 2022 will take place in the Flight Experience Restaurant RUNWAY 34 in Glattbrugg. After discussing the regular agenda items in the Aviator Lounge, we will enjoy an "apéro riche" in the hangar area together. This will be a great opportunity to share thoughts and opinions on the current situation.

Collection of Membership Fees
SEV/SEV-GATA endeavours to offer members a simple payment of membership fees. Payment by wage deduction is the easiest solution. According to the law, membership should never have to be a secret and may never cause disadvantages at the workplace. Our experience over several decades has shown that membership at SEV/SEV-GATA offers numerous benefits and provides visible protection in the work environment. Upon express request, the membership fee can, of course, also be paid on time by invoice. An email with your surname, first name, employer and membership number to Enable JavaScript to view protected content. is sufficient.
Is your colleague already a member? Until 30 June, 2022, you will earn a double advertising bonus (CHF 100.00) for each newly recruited member – a pleasant bonus for you in difficult times and protection for your colleagues in the battle for fair working conditions!
