National demo on 10 September 2016: for a strong AHV
We want to increase AHV-superannuation
Pension fund payments are getting less and less and AHV-superannuation payments are lagging behind the wage development, too. On the other hand health insurance premiums and rents are rising. Today the rent alone eats three quarters of the maximum AHV-superannuation. 40 years ago it wasn’t even half of it. For many people neither AHV nor pensions are sufficient any longer to lead a dignified life. Therefore we need an increase of 10 percent, which would be covered by AHVplus. Contrary to the pension scheme the first pillar of the superannuation is safe and financed by the solidarity fund. It has the best price-performance ratio.
We fight against raising the retirement age
Our demonstration is a sign of resistance. It is out of the question that the retirement age is raised to 67 years as demanded by centre-right parties in Parliament, same as raising women’s retirement age to 65 as provided by the project «Altersvorsorge 2020» (old-age provision 2020).
We expect all of you in Berne on Saturday, 10 September. The SEV will reimburse you for your traveling expenses. Meeting point is on Schützenmatte at 13.30 h. Following special trains are departing:

The slogans suggested by the SGB concerning the federal petition are as follows:
Yes to people’s initiative AHVplus
The SGB has launched this public initiative to fight the pension reduction. The AHV must be strengthened, because it’s the best, most social, safest and most efficient form of retirement provision.
Yes to people’s initiative green economy
The SGB supports the initiative aiming at a sustainable economy efficiently conserving resources, and to transfer the competencies to the federation in order to reach this target.
No to intelligence agencies act
The SGB doesn’t want any escalating monitoring options for the intelligence agencies violating privacy. O n e secret files scandal is enough.
New member acquisition
All those joining SEV-GATA from September 2016 will benefit from a free membership until the end of 2016. This promotion is valid for the months of September, October, November and December.
