SEV-GATA Expecting a Great Deal of New Swiss Manager Human Resources

A
ctive Social Partnership
Today Swiss introduced the new manager human resources, Christoph Ulrich. With this change the union SEV-GATA associates the expectation that social partnership and labor relations are handled more actively than before.

SEV-GATA expects that in future contractual agreements are strictly complied with. Moreover reorganizations implemented should provide a high social competence. Christoph Ulrich, who has been acting as deputy manager human resources and who has experience in working with staff organizations, is expected to meet the demands of ground staff accordingly.

Particularly the high demands on the professional groups, represented by SEV-GATA, due to shift work and working under harder conditions (not only in all weathers but also in the hectic everyday office work of the volatile flight business) have to be taken into account. At Swiss the reconciliation of professional life and family life needs to be improved, too. On the whole Philipp Hadorn, president SEV-GATA and SEV union secretary, concludes: «Switzerland as a center of industry must be strengthened within the Lufthansa group, and the industrial rights are to be adjusted to the European standard». According to Philipp Hadorn this is the usual standard within the Lufthansa group.

GATA: SEV Aviation (Groundstaff Aviation Technics and Administration) is the aviation department of SEV, the transport staff union.
