Wage Negotiations 2025
Swiss Ground Staff: General Wage Increase in 2025
From 1 January 2025, Swiss employees who are subject to the ground staff CLA will receive a general wage increase of 2 percent. The raise guarantees a minimum of 100 francs more per month at a full-time quota or the pro rata base amount at a part-time quota. This ensures that lower wages will still suffice to cover the rising cost of living. Swiss has agreed on this with its social partners SEV-GATA, VPOD and the Commercial Association.
"The minimum raise of 13 x 100 francs in annual salary not only compensates for the forecast annual tax rate of 1.2%, but also the increases in health insurance premiums and any rent increases," says Philipp Hadorn, President of SEV-GATA, the aviation department of the transport workers' union SEV. "This result is therefore acceptable, even if Swiss is currently so successful that it could afford to involve staff more generously in its success. The airline could and should catch up for Christmas ..."
The year before, Swiss management refused to fully compensate for the annual inflation despite a record result and a collection of signatures by the trade unions. "This year, the negotiating climate was more solution-oriented and constructive," added Hadorn.
A two percent increase in all wage bands in the minimum and maximum was also agreed, which lays the foundation for a sustainable development of wages in the following years.
