Changes at Swiss
GATA at the Federal Parliament
Ex BAZL Director against the “Wild East”
SEV-GATA on the Upswing

Dear colleagues

With rising summer temperatures changes can thrive at Swiss. “CSeries”, the youngest child of Swiss’ fleet shows that the LH subsidiary is willing to innovate and to invest, however it also means the “exit of the Jumbolino”.

Changes at Swiss
Apart from the fleet HR is being changed as well. After the change at the top of HR we expect that along with the necessary innovations pending CLA issues are worked out with us as soon as possible.

GATA at the Federal Parliament
Quite a number of interested GATA members followed our invitation for this year’s general meeting to the house of my second workplace, the federal parliament in Berne. As a member of the National Council I was pleased to explain how union activities and the processes of legislation are connected.

Ex BAZL-Director against the “Wild East”
In his committed report Peter Müller, director of BAZL, who resigned end of 2015, explained that the «wild west» of working conditions in aviation was looming from the east. In a short review he showed the unions’ reactions in other countries and pointed out to the different options for action in aviation.

SEV-GATA on the Upswing
Lately SEV-GATA, the second largest union of the SGB, has been perceived particularly by our partner unions. Due to our consistency, the excellent job and the achievements we’ve made other unions become more and more interested in cooperating with us and using our services. Particularly regarding the forthcoming pay talks in autumn it’s most important that even more employees join the union. Be “ready for take-off”, fill in your application form, tell your workmates and reply to us adding the names of the members you recruited – a triple win situation!

Summery regards
