1 May – Labour Day

The importance of 1 May for the development of working conditions in Switzerland can hardly be overstated. Thousands of workers will gather and discuss their working conditions like every year, this time in keeping with the motto “More to live.” To fight for your rights is an honourable thing. You can find all demonstrations and manifestations on 1 May listed on https://www.sgb.ch/themen/gewerkschaftspolitik/schweiz/artikel/details/1-mai-2019-alle-veranstaltungen-im-ueberblick/ including locations, times and speakers.

100 Years SEV Anniversary – Women’s Strike 2019 – Recruitment Campaign

The Swiss Transport Workers’ Union SEV is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Our newspaper will contain all relevant information about the festivities. Furthermore, the Women’s Strike 2019 will take place on 14 June 2019 (further information: https://www.14juni.ch).

SEV would like to seize this opportunity by making a gift to new members: Men who join SEV will get their first (max.) three months of membership for free (this reduction ends by the end of February 2019 in any case). Newly joined women will even remain members free of charge until the end of the year! … and there is still a recruitment bonus of Fr. 50.- for those who successfully convince their colleagues of joining SEV. We are happy to send you booklets and more information!

The strength of our union depends on the number of members within our ranks. Therefore, we rely on your support to ensure that we can continue to defend your interests. Thank you!

Kind regards,

Philipp Hadorn, President
